The Consortium staff gets to know each and every member and maintains close and frequent contact to enhance the sharing of information. Consortium staff can develop flexible and unique services upon request, and offers the following standard services:
Technical Assistance
Convenient Access
Our staff is on hand to answer all of your technical questions. Each year, we respond to over 2,000 member requests for assistance. Most are resolved within 48 hours.
Members receive regular emails with offers, questions or resources available or needed by other members. This allows fast response and far-reaching announcements. You can call or email Consortium staff whenever you have a question, a need, or a challenge you would like help with.
Support for Atypical or Complex Challenges
The Consortium can lighten your facility manager’s workload by handling tough, non-routine challenges. From creating an airport building department to redesigning the staff mix in a school maintenance department, we are primed to take on the heavy loads.
Access to Energy Experts and Resources
The Consortium brings the expertise of the WSU Extension Energy Program. Consortium members can leverage resources such as energy efficiency assessments, grant writing assistance, energy training, literature or technology research and economic analysis.
On-Site, Low-Cost Assessments
On-site assessments range from focused reviews of specific trades and functional areas to in-depth, integrated analyses of complex plant operations. Our multi-specialty teams use cutting-edge technology and cost-estimating techniques to provide relevant and accurate data.
Training and Leadership Development
We provide training, education and leadership development, including annual Conferences. We also publish a quarterly newsletter Shop Talk and members can subscribe to the Consortium's electronic Listserv.
