Water for Residential Properties WSEC-R 2021 training - 9/17/2025 @ 1:00 p.m
This Class will cover water as it pertains to residential dwellings. We will not be discussing fluid dynamics or how to install a sewer drain. Our class will be focused on best practices for desired results in water conservation, efficient water heating, and hot water distribution. We will also discuss how behavior and comfort will be affected by your plumbing design as well as the effects a dwellings layout has on the distribution system. The majority of the material covered today was donated to the School of Design and Construction by Garry Klein and Associates. Thank you for contribution to a better understanding of hot water and how we use it.

The School of Design and Construction’s programs in Energy Conscious Construction (ECC) is nationally recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Zero Energy Design Designation. This recognition ensures that the ECC provides students with a solid foundation in building science and the opportunity to apply that knowledge in the design process through its various assessment methods. The ECC offers an interdisciplinary emphasis in energy-efficient residential buildings, with a focus on the state of Washington and covering all phases of the design process from design through construction and post occupancy evaluation.
