Plant Operations Support Consortium

The Plant Operations Support Consortium is a self-sustaining, membership-based organization within the WSU Energy Program, as established by RCW 28B.30.903.

Our mission: To increase the efficiency and sustainability of public facility operations by providing technical assistance, education, and consultation to support facility construction, operation, and maintenance.

Our vision: Facilities are recognized and managed as an integral component of any organization, and the people who operate and maintain the facilities are recognized and supported as essential partners in the organization's mission.

We connect facilities professionals, including state agencies, schools, higher education, ports, tribes, nonprofits, utilities, and municipalities, with technical information and expertise to help them increase the efficiency and sustainability of their facility operations.

Consortium News

In summer 2015, the Washington State Legislature requested the assistance of the Consortium to inventory and assess the condition of our state's school buildings. This up-to-date information will help elected officials make informed decisions about facilities that are essential to support basic education throughout the state. More details are provided in this project flyer.
