Energy Code Compliance Calculator

New Washington State residential energy code calculator

The Washington State University (WSU) Energy Program has released a new, web-based Washington State residential energy code calculator. This calculator will help homeowners, builders, and building officials determine whether residential construction projects meet the requirements of the Washington State Energy Code—Residential (WSEC-R 2021).

The Washington State residential energy Code Compliance Calculator provides an efficient way to evaluate building envelope components, mechanical systems, and overall energy performance to ensure compliance with current state regulations.

Excel-based code compliance calculator (C3)

The Excel-based C3 tool caters to the 2018 and 2021 WSEC-R code cycles. The tool requires Excel for Windows installed on a computer (not web-based) and is not available for Macs. The Excel version is available below.
